    * Reservation fees made for training are "non-refundable." Classes can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the date of the class, if fail to reschedule the full cost of the class will be lost. Members will have a 20% discount in all classes taught by MCTA. Discounts will not include guest instructors who are not affiliated with MCTA Inc.

    • Instructor's Bio:

      Justin Miller is a 20+ year veteran of the US military, fire service, and civilian EMS. He started his medical career as a sports medicine student and shortly thereafter joined the US Army and spent seven years as an infantry medic sergeant with a deployment to a war torn Bosnia and earning multiple awards. Justin then continued to grow his skill set as a firefighter and ultimately a captain and Fire Training Officer with multiple fire departments. He was responsible for the overall training and education for several public safety disciplines. He was also awarded Firefighter of the Year... Twice. Simultaneously, Justin began his law enforcement career with multiple agencies, quickly utilizing his medical and hazmat knowledge for special operations medicine and high risk rescue skill sets.

       

      Justin is currently a Master Swat Operator on an active SWAT Team as well as an active shooter and stop the bleed instructor. After leaving the Army, Justin then joined the US Air Force and continued to educate and lead the next generations of firefighters. He has also had an international impact, serving and training host nation firefighters in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan while filling roles such as Rescue Instructor, Fire Training Officer, Crew Chief, and technical advisor to the US State Department. Justin holds a B.S. degree in Fire Service Administration and an A.A.S. Degree in Fire Science. In his diverse career, Justin has amassed numerous certifications, qualifications, and commendations across multiple public safety agencies and military affiliations. Throughout his career, he has maintained a high level of passion for leading and training those that serve and protect others.

       

      Class Synopsis:

      Tactical First Aid Students will learn how to apply techniques to control life threatening bleeding during Care under Fire in a (HOT ZONE). Additionally, they will perform techniques to treat life threatening and non-life threatening injuries during Tactical Field Care in a (WARM ZONE). During the program students will demonstrate lifting, moving and extricating victims from a tactical or hostile environment during Tactical Evacuation Care.

      Class duration 8 hours

      From 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

       

      This class will be taught in our indoor facility (1309 S. Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS 39466)
