Service Description
* Reservation fees made for training are "non-refundable." Classes can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the date of the class, if fail to reschedule the full cost of the class will be lost. Members will have a 20% discount in all classes taught by MCTA. Discounts will not include guest instructors who are not affiliated with MCTA Inc. Non-Members: $245 Members: $195 (20% off) Class Synopsis: Teaches the skills needed for home defense. Students will learn strategies and tactics to successfully protect themselves, their families and their home. Topics covered will be: - Shoot or not to shoot - Basic structure clearing - Selecting a handgun for protection - Why rifles and shotguns may not be the best weapon of choice when engaging a target in your home - Information on an individual’s right to self-defense inside their home. Course Outline: - Basic defensive shooting skills - Strategies for home safety - Strategies for responding to a violent confrontation - Firearms and the law - How to choose a handgun for self-defense - Legal Aspects of Self-Defense Details: Class duration 8 hours From 8:00 am to 4:00 pm The first half of this class will be taught in our indoor facility (1309 S Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS), after lunch you will transfer to our outdoor range. Bring: 150 rounds Pistol Holster and spare mags Safety glasses and ear-pro Plenty of water Wear getting dirty clothes
